Position: Specialist
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Minimum of 19 years of age and 1 year of college completed.
2. Significant experience in camping, education, babysitting, other child or recreational fields.
3. Required to attend camp for eight weeks of the camp season. Eligible to receive a salary.
RESPONSIBLE TO: Camp Director, Program Director, and Head Counselor
GENERAL (BROAD) RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead a group of twelve to twenty campers throughout an entire summer program. Participate in planning and executing the camp program.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Supervise a group of campers and help each camper adjust and grow to other campers and camp life.
2. Interpret regulations for health, safety, and welfare of campers.
3. Guide the individual camper in participation of bunk and camp activities.
4. Assist with program activities and club program.
5. Work closely with your Head Counselor and Camp Director.
6. Assist with all camp program activities and other camp-wide activities as assigned.
7. Develop skills in all areas of camp life and activity.
8. Act as a host/hostess at a table in the dining room during lunch.
9. Communicate with parents frequently.
10. Write a yearbook article, newsletters, and create a bunk plaque.
11. These are not the only duties to be performed. Some duties may be re-assigned and other duties may be assigned as required.
